Family budgets come in all sizes and we want everyone to create lifelong memories at this unique family festival. For this reason we offer both a fort bundle and picnic blanket bundle to ensure everyone can join the fun!

Fort Nation is a brand new, unforgettable fort building, live music and performances, story telling, hanging out with friends and family festival with a drive-inn movie style twist. With a scavenger hunt, bounce houses, and entertainment for young and old. You're not going to want to miss this new event. 

What is Fort Nation?

Think of Fort Nation as the original fort night that we all had in our living room growing up. Here at Fort Nation headquarters, we never grew up.

We live by the motto, a picture can last a lifetime but a memory can last forever, so lets make memories.

Fort Nation What to Expect

Gates open at 3:30pm and the Fort Building will begin! Prizes will be awarded for the best Fort (and picnic blanket) decorations. The stage will have fun performances and activities throughout the night you may enjoy in front of the stage or from your fort by tuning in using your clan’s radio.

Attractions and Activities includes:

  • Bounce houses

  • Competition Games and Prizes

  • Scavenger Hunt

  • Performers (Storytellers, Live Acoustic Music, Magician, Comedian)

  • Treats such as popcorn

  • Big Screen Cartoons

  • Vendors

*Changes and additions may occur.

If at anytime you get tired or don’t want to participate in the activities, your clan’s fort is a nice shaded haven to relax in.

Each reservation comes with your own wireless listening device which you can take with you throughout the festival grounds, and still hear what’s happening on stage.

Near sundown, the live acts begin on stage including; music, storytelling and more.  You can either sit up at the stage or listen inside your fort. You choose!

The live shows end around 10:00pm then we play a little music and our crews start cleaning up.  You’re welcome to stay and help cleanup, but it isn’t necessary :)

At the end of the night, any blankets or sheets that you brought that you don’t want to take home will be donated to the local shelters.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my clan need a fort to participate in the Fort Nation Festival?

Family budgets come in all sizes and we want everyone to create lifelong memories at this unique family festival. For this reason we offer both a fort bundle (enclosed) and picnic blanket bundle (non-enclosed) to ensure everyone can join the fun. Both bundles include a radio, swag bag and all-access wristbands to the festival’s attractions and activities. Regardless of the bundle you choose, your clan will have a place to relax, play games and stash your stuff. Both bundles include a number of admissions. Additional admissions are available for purchase. Please note, the supplied fort materials are rentals and are not to be taken home.

Do I need to bring anything?

Yes. All bundle types, bring any pillows and blankets for your clan to lounge on. We also encourage lawn chairs if that’s your vibe. Feel free to bring cold food and drinks. Think picnic or concert in the park. Additionally, get creative and add your own flair to your clan’s area!

Fort Bundle Clans will be given additional materials for the structure of the fort. You will be assembling the fort structure yourself, don’t worry, we have full faith you and your clan will succeed with the construction efforts! To put the signature touch on your fort, do not forget to bring two (2) sheets Full, Queen or King (or 4 twin) sheets, which will become the exterior walls of your fort (we provide clips to attach to the bones). As always, dress (your fort) to impress!

How do the reservations work?

Making a reservation for your clan couldn't be easier using the ticketing page (see tour section below).

Based on price and availability:

  • Select your admission tickets by age groups

  • Choose between a picnic or fort package for your clan (discounted bundles that include a package and 4 admission tickets are also available)

  • Optionally, make a donation to our charity partner

  • Checkout the store to lock down some merch. Limited supplies. First come first served.

Children 3 and older need their own ticket/wristband to participate in the competitive games and to use the bounce houses.

Littles are always welcome!! Children 2 and under are free and do not need their own ticket. Discounted tickets are available for children ages 3-5 and must have parental supervision for bounce houses and competitive games.

Can I bring a Tent?

No, tents are not allowed at the Fort Nation festival.

Do I get to keep the fort materials after the event?

No, all provided materials are rentals including a radio, tealight candles and fort structures.

Is this a sleep over event?

Unless other wise stated on the event Fort Nation festival is not an overnight sleepover event. The festival runs from 3:30pm to 10:00pm.

Can We Bring Food to Fort Nation?

Yes! We encourage clans to pack their favorite cold foods such as sandwiches and snacks.  The venues we work with don't allow outside hot food, or alcohol into their venues. When possible, we arrange a variety of different food trucks and caterers at the events to buy yummy food and desserts from. Please be sure to throw away any trash your clan creates. No, you may not bring a grill.

Are animals allowed?

We love pets … but they’re not allowed at the event. We do make exceptions for service animals. Keep in Mind that loud music, lots of people, and the possibility of fireworks may provide an uncomfortable atmosphere for your service animal. Pretty please keep them on a leash.

Are there refunds or can I transfer my reservation?

Reservations are non-refundable. Event dates and location are subject to change. If an event is postponed due to weather, we will make an announcement via email and our social media sites, Facebook and Instagram. So it’s a good idea to follow us. @fortnation

Reservations are transferable. To transfer your reservation to someone else, simply forward the email containing the fort kit to that person, or print and give the tickets to them, but the name on the ticket does NOT need to be changed. The new ticket holder will not have any problem checking-in to the event with your original tickets. The new ticket holder will need to sign a waiver at the event. To transfer your tickets to a different location please email us at hello@fortnation.com with your request.

Do I need an admission ticket AND be a part of a bundle to come to the event?

To maximize your experience at this festival all tickets, including the additional clanmate tickets, should be part of a clan’s bundle. Additional clanmate tickets do not need to be purchased at the same time the clan’s bundle is purchased. The additional clanmate ticket includes the same all-inclusive wristband for attractions and activities. It does not include the other items that come as part of either bundle.

What is the Charity Partner

As producer’s of family-friendly events we feel it’s important to give back to the community families we serve. For each event we select a local charity group and work with them to raise donations and shine light on their mission. We are often humbled by the outpouring of love and support our charity partners receive through our joint efforts.

Official Charity Partner: Hope After Polygamy

Hope After Polygamy’s mission is to connect individuals who have left polygamy to resources in their communities and provide assistance for their journey to the outside world. They award scholarships for education toward a GED up to a bachelor level degree, including trade-skill certificates. We believe education is a key difference in helping those from polygamy toward a successful self-sufficient future. Hope After Polygamy is founded by women who left polygamy and have firsthand experiences of the barriers faced by those transitioning out.
